UK No Match for Arkansas's Aggressive Defense

Arkansas scored 30 points off 19 UK turnovers to send the Wildcats to a 73-60 loss Saturday.
With the win, Arkansas remained undefeated at home in Southeastern Conference play. The loss dropped UK’s record to 20-9 on the season and moved the Cats into a tie with Alabama for second place in the Southeastern Conference.
Arkansas used a 9-2 run to start the second half to open a double-digit lead. The Razorbacks won despite shooting 34.8 percent from the field thanks in part to 20 offensive rebounds.
Arkansas native Archie Goodwin led UK in scoring with 14 points. Freshman forward Willie Cauley-Steinadded 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore point guard Ryan Harrow scored 10 points but totaled just two assists. Freshman forward Alex Poythress fouled out with nine points and four rebounds. Senior guard Julius Mays made just one of his eight field goal attempts in the game.
The loss marked the fifth double-digit defeat for the Cats this season. Head coachJohn Calipari suffered just one double-digit loss in his first three seasons at UK.
