UPDATE: The flood advisory has expired.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory that is in effect until 10:45 a.m. for all Northern Kentucky counties and the rest of Greater Cincinnati.
Radar indicated heavy rain will persist through the morning after an inch has already fallen on soil saturated by melted snow. Another half inch of rain is expected and will result in minor flooding, the NWS said, with low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways, and underpasses being most susceptible. Bellevue is one area highlighted by the NWS where flooding is most likely. AA Highway at US 27 in Cold Spring could experience adverse effects of the current weather. Drivers are urged to use precaution and to avoid crossing roads where water of unknown depth exists.
