Warmer Weather Coming, Thunderstorms, Too

Finally, a true taste of spring appears to be on its way Saturday with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper fifties. Thunderstorms may develop overnight Saturday into Sunday which is shaping up to be a mild and rainy spring day.

But, snow is not out of the forecast yet. The National Weather Service says there is a chance of snow showers Sunday night and Monday.

Here is your 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Thursday Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Northwest wind around 7 mph.

Thur night Mostly clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Fri night Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Calm wind.

Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Light and variable wind becoming east around 5 mph in the morning.

Sat night Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9am and 5pm. High near 57. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sun night A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
