Event to Help Give Proper Smiles to Kids with Cleft Palette
Children born with cleft palette will get some help through an event Saturday at the Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center (620 Greenup Street, Covington).
"It will be a beautiful day in the Gardens of Baker Hunt," writes Ray Kingsbury, executive director of the center.
A beautiful day for a chairty photo shoot, raising money for kids in need. For the second straight year, Baker Hunt is hosting its Celebration of Smiles charity photo shoot. Family and pets are welcome to have their photograph taken professionally for $24 (with a 5x7 print to keep) by local photographer Matthew Andrews.
With every $240 raised, one child will be provided with cleft palette surgery. Last year, Baker Hunt raised $480, enough for two surgeries.
Today's event is from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
