Storms, Cooler Temps Moving In

A storm system moving across the United States will play a role in Covington and Northern Kentucky's weather over the next 36 - 48 hours.

While Wednesday is shaping up to be another summer-like day, severe thunderstorms are possible as early as 1:00 a.m. Thursday when temperatures begin to dip back into the fifties.

After a stormy Thursday and a cool Friday & Saturday, pleasant weather appears to return on Sunday.

TODAY Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 8 to 16 mph.

TONIGHT A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

THURSDAY Showers and thunderstorms. High near 71. South wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

THUR NIGHT Showers likely, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. West wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

FRIDAY Partly sunny, with a high near 55. West wind 8 to 16 mph.

FRI NIGHT Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.

SATURDAY Partly sunny, with a high near 53.

SAT NIGHT Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.

SUNDAY Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.

SUN NIGHT Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

MONDAY Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

MON NIGHT Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.
