Executive Returns from China to Help Covington Company Overseas
Covington-based Life Science Accelerator bioLOGIC has announced the addition of Calvin Tchiang to its local operation. Tchiang is coming from bioLOGIC’s parent company SIDIS where he has served as a vice president in charge of business development.
He will assist bioLOGIC clients with international marketing, particularly in China.
For the past three years, Tchiang has spearheaded the SIDIS China Strategy and Growth plan on site in Beijing. Prior to his SIDIS role, he worked in finance, marketing and client management for the World Bank, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and IBM, all from Beijing.
“Calvin’s international experience and expertise will greatly extend bioLOGIC’s reach as we look for new acquisitions and partnerships,” said Nigel Ferrey, SIDIS board chairman. “As we continue to build momentum, his substantial experience and multi-lingual proficiency will be instrumental in reaching potential clients who do not yet know of bioLOGIC’s services and capabilities.”
A native of northern California, Tchiang holds a graduate degree in Asian American Studies from UCLA and undergraduate degrees in History and Asian American Studies. Tchiang, his wife, Melody, and 10-month-old son, Xavier, have recently relocated from Beijing to Boone County.
