Wendy's Sues UDF Over Frosty Trademark
The relationship between Wendy's and UDF has turned frosty over the frozen treat and claims of trademark infringement.
The Columbus, Ohio-based fast food giant filed a lawsuit Friday claiming that Cincinnati-based UDF is ripping off its Frosty brand and colors associated with its cups.
The Columbus Dispatch reported that the lawsuit asks the federal court to stop UDF from selling its Frosties and Frosty Malts and to require the company to destroy its packaging. Wendy's also seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
