Northern Kentucky Pride shined through the rain at Goebel Park in Covington's Mainstrasse Village on Saturday.
The opening of the festival was delayed nearly an hour after the morning's incessant heavy downpour.
Mayor Sherry Carran and Police Chief Spike Jones welcomed festival-goers and heralded the city as a welcoming place for the gay and lesbian community.
NKY Pride featured entertainers on stage including musicians and comedians, vendor booths, DJs, drag shows, a dog drag race, karaoke, cornhole, and then a pub crawl at night. The weekend's worth of festivities ends Sunday morning with brunch at the Radisson 360.
