Accident Shuts Down Two Covington Streets

At least two vehicles involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon shut down two roads in Downtown Covington's Licking Riverside neighborhood.

Police, Fire, and EMS responded to Fifth & Greenup Streets where a minivan and a smaller vehicle collided at or near the intersection.

At least one victim was removed from the smaller vehicle during which emergency responders used the jaws of life to remove the side doors.

Multiple passengers were removed from the minivan.

East Fifth Street was shut down between Scott Blvd. and Greenup Street while Greenup was blocked at Fifth.

Traffic has since reopened on both streets.
