Circus Mojo Seeks Funds for Germany Trip
Circus Mojo is raising funds to send some of its artists to Germany for the Ninth Annual Circus Exchange.
The Ludlow-based company has a sister circus in Stuttgart, Germany called CircArtive Pimparello.
Circus Mojo hopes to raise $5,000 and with just twenty days left in its Kickstarter campaign, the company has raised more than $1,500 from eighteen supporters.
The tour in Germany will last three weeks. According to Circus Mojo, "This will be the trip of a lifetime for many of the participants, some of whom have never even been on an airplane! This trip, however, is not just a stamp in the passport. The teens preparing to tour to Germany have had to take the responsibility to earn their way."
Some of the teens recently performed at Newport-on-the-Levee to raise funds and awareness for the Kickstarter campaign.
"Students who have taken this trip in the past have gone on to earn over 1 million dollars in college scholarships collectively and have gone on to use their talent and drive to better their community, themselves, and the world," Circus Mojo writes in its email newsletter.
Circus Mojo founder Paul Miller recently attended and presented at a workshop in Finland, and more international flavor comes to Ludlow when Circus Mojo welcomes Denmark's CircusFabrikken next October.
