Accident Sends Teen to Hospital, Driver Flees
UPDATE (4:10 p.m.): The vehicle that crashed near Holmes High School sending a teen to the hospital struck a Covington Police cruiser before hitting the rock retaining wall at 30 East 26th Street, Police Chief Spike Jones told The River City News.
The car struck the cruiser's front bumper after running a stop sign while traveling north on Greenup Street.
The driver fled the scene leaving his 17-year old sister behind. She was injured, had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
That driver has not yet been caught but he is being sought by the police and will face charges.

The driver of the vehicle fled on foot, according to a Kenton County Police dispatcher.
The dispatcher told The River City News that the driver is described by police as a black male in his mid-twenties in dark clothing with a stripe down the back of his shirt or jacket.
The dispatcher also said that police likely know the identity of the driver.
