Bromley Names Replacement for Councilman Who Died
The City of Bromley has appointed a new member to its city council following the death of longtime councilman Dan Gardiner.
Gardiner died on December 29.
"Dan Gardiner's long service and dedication to the city has been very appreciated and he will be sorely missed," the City posted on its Facebook page.
Donnie Jobe will serve out the remainder of Gardiner's term, the City said.
Beginning this month, Bromley City Council will hold a caucus meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. inside the City Building for the first six months of 2014.
Those meetings will be for the purpose of discussion of specific city improvement projects and to allow council to hear from citizens. No final action will be taken at the caucus meetings.
The first caucus meeting would be January 21.
