Work on Cut-in-the-Hill to Close Lanes, Entrance Ramp
Work on Interstate 75 in Covington is expected to cause long delays over the weekend.
Starting Friday, January 24 at 11 p.m., southbound I-75 will be restricted to one lane from the 189.3 mile marker to the 191 mile marker for a pavement repair project. That restriction will be in place until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Then at that time on Saturday, traffic will be restricted to two lanes until 5 a.m. Monday, January 27. At that time, all lanes will re-open.
The entrance ramp to I-75 from Twelfth Street/Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed during this time.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 advises drivers to use an alternate route during this time, specifically suggesting I-471.
Long delays are expected and the work is dependent upon cooperative weather, District 6 said in a news release.
