Dayton Begins Search for New City Administrator
The City of Dayton has begun its search for a new city administrator following the sudden resignation of Dennis Redmond.
City leaders have not offered any additional comment on why Redmond resigned.
The city of 5,300 people is now accepting applications for Redmond's replacement. The new city administrator will work with the city's mayor-council form of government and will oversee its $3.6 million budget and all departments.
According to the job posting, salary will be commensurate with experience.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (with a master's degree preferred) in public administration or a related field and possess previous management and supervisory experience. Strong budgeting, financial management, public relations, economic development, and grant writing skills are also sought.
The deadline to apply is February 10 at 5 p.m.
