Jury Takes 15 Minutes to Convict Man in Kenton Court
A man faces more than five years in prison after a Kenton County jury took less than fifteen minutes to convict him Thursday.
Antonio Chames, 28, was convicted of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Chames was arrested on the gun charge (and other charges related to drugs and fleeing) in August of last year.
Covington Police Officers Gideon Craymer and Ryan Christen were the only witnesses called by the Commonwealth, according to the Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney Office.
Following the conviction, the jury recommended a sentence of five and a half years.
