Ten to Run for Bellevue City Council, Mayor Challenged by Council Member
Ten candidates will run for Bellevue City Council this year while one current city council member will challenge the incumbent mayor.
Meanwhile, one other sitting city council member will not seek reelection.
Mayor Ed Riehl will be a candidate for reelection and will face Councilwoman Carol Rich in November.
Councilwoman Kathy Almoslechner will not be a candidate for reelection. With the departure of Rich and Almoslechner from the city council next year, there will be at least two seats filled by newcomers following November's election.
