Former Congressman Davis Endorses Knochelmann in Kenton Judge-Exec Race
Former Northern Kentucky Congressman Geoff Davis has endorsed Kenton County Commissioner Kris Knochelmann in his bid to be the next Judge-Executive.
Knochelmann faces incumbent Judge-Executive Steve Arlinghaus in the May 20 Republican primary. There is no Democratic candidate.
“Kris is the person we need to lead Kenton County to bring integrity to the Judge’s officeand result for the people. He will bring much needed business experience and integrity to the courthouse," Davis said in a statement released through the Knochelmann campaign. "Kris has proven through his years of owning and running successful
businesses and his time serving as County Commissioner that he has the integrity to do what is right for Kenton County. Northern Kentucky needs more principled conservatives like Kris to move Northern Kentucky in the right direction."
“I am honored and privileged to have the endorsement of such a strong Conservative statesman,” Knochelmann said in a news release. “Congressman Davis and I both come from a business background and understand the importance of reining in government. I feel there is only one true conservative in this race and an endorsement from one of Northern Kentucky’s strongest conservative leaders means a great deal. I am very humbled by this endorsement.”
Davis and his wife Pat will be special guests at a reception for Knochelmann in Fort Mitchell on Saturday evening.
Knochelmann is currently serving in his second term as a Kenton County Commissioner for District #3.
