Community Input Sought for Vacant Lots
Some of the city-owned properties that are now vacant lots following a round of demolitions will be the topic of discussion at Covington City Hall on Tuesday night.
The demolition effort has left several empty lots in the Eastside and Helentown neighborhoods. The purpose of Tuesday's meeting is to share information and to gather input as the city attempts to put them back into productive use.
According to a news release, the meeting will include discussion of needs in the community and potential future uses for the lots to meet those needs. Pros and cons of several different possibilities will be discussed. Members of the community will be asked for their input on priorities.
