Auditor Edelen Returns to Covington, this Time for Politics
Kentucky State Auditor Adam Edelen returns to Covington on Thursday, one week after releasing the results of his office's examination of the city's finance department where former director Bob Due is accused of stealing $793,000.
The Northern Kentucky Democratic League hosts Edelen on Thursday evening as its monthly speaker.
Edelen has been to the region multiple times since taking office in 2012. In addition to Covington, his office handled or his handling reports on Dayton Independent Schools and the CVG Airport Board.
“Mr. Edelen is no stranger to Northern Kentucky,” said Shawn Masters, president of the NKDL, in a news release. “And as Democrats gear up for the 2014 elections, his support and enthusiasm is a welcomed addition to the dialogue. We’re much honored to have him speak.”
NKDL meets on the third Thursday of each month. Adam Edelen will speak on Thursday, February 20: 6pm at Molly Malones (112 E 4th Street – Covington). The meeting is open to the public.
