Explosive Second Half Propels Holmes Over George Rogers Clark
Senior Night got off to a slow start for the Holmes Bulldogs Thursday night.
George Rogers Clark, which brought its losing record with it from Winchester, led the Bulldogs at the half, 30-27.
A strong third quarter gave Holmes a lead that it would not relinquish.
Bolstered by James "Beetle" Bolden's twenty-five points, fifteen of which came from behind the arc, Holmes outscored GRC 50-25 in the second half. The Dogs are now 23-5 on the season.
Marcus Hill put in 14 for Holmes and Markel McClendon scored 13.
Seniors on the team include Hill, Armani Housley, Daequan Glover, Isaiah Revels, and Quinton Chames.
The boy shave one more game in the regular season and will face Ludlow Saturday at home at 1:30 p.m.
The district tournament starts next week and Holmes faces Beechwood on Wednesday night at the Bank of Kentucky Center.
