Covington, Dayton City Candidates to Appear at Meet & Greets
Candidates for Dayton City Council and Covington City Commission will appear at meet and greet nights in April.
Covington City Commission candidates will appear at Wunderbar (1132 Lee Street) on April 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is hosted by the Westside Action Coalition.
Fifteen candidates are running in the May 20 primary (including all four incumbents) in which the field will be diminished to eight for the November election where four will be elected.
In Dayton, mayoral and city council candidates will appear at the Dayton VFW (828 Sixth Avenue) on April 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Incumbent Mayor Ken Rankle faces a challenge from current City Councilman Virgil Boruske. Their election will be in November.
Sixteen candidates are running in the May primary for city council (including five incumbents). The field will be diminished to twelve for the November ballot where six will be elected.
