Popular Fish Fry to Benefit Covington's The Point
Brooks Flooring of Fort Wright is once again hosting its famous Fish Fry every Friday during Lent.
On Friday, April 4, the beneficiary is The Point / Arc of Northern Kentucky (The Point).
Started six years ago to help bring people into his store, Bill Brooks said that once he added the charity component to help give back, “The event has taken on a life of its own. When we first started, about 25 people would come to our Fish Fry. Now, we get up to 300.”
The Point recently moved its logo and design operations to Ritte's Corner in Latonia. See photos from their grand opening celebration below.
Details of the Brooks Flooring Fish Fry:
Date: April 4th, 2014 (Friday)
Location: Brooks Flooring Showroom – 1898 Ashwood Circle in Fort Wright (just off the Kyle’s Lane Exit across from Walgreen’s on Dixie Highway)
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Cost: Dine in - No charge, but a donation to The Point is requested
Carry out - $10.00
Includes: Regular or Cajun-spiced fish, macaroni and cheese, french fries, and a drink
The Point has been serving Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati since 1972. Its mission is to provide opportunities to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) to reach their highest potential. The Point’s programs focus on four areas -- Education, Residential services, Social activities, and Employment -- and annually serve more than 700 men, women, and children.
