Man Arrested, Officer Sent to Hospital After Taylor Mill Fire
A man is behind bars after allegedly setting a fire that sent a Taylor Mill Police officer to the hospital.
Ken Brummer, 41, is in the Kenton County Detention Center charged with first degree arson and first degree wanton endangerment after police say he set an apartment building on Sharon Drive on fire.
Thirty-three people had to be evacuated, according to WKRC. A police officer was taken to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. He has since been treated and released, according to WKRC.
Police and firefighters responded to Sharon Drive at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. The apartment building suffered moderate damage.
Brummer is being held without bond and is expected to appear in Kenton Co. Circuit Court on Wednesday morning.
