House Hunters: Covington Couple's Move to Myrtle Beach on HGTV
A Covington couple's move from the city to sunny Myrtle Beach will be documented on the popular HGTV show House Hunters Wednesday night.
Rick and Ann Trulley shot their episode in October as they prepared to leave the Old Seminary Square neighborhood for the beach.
From HGTV's description of the episode:
Rick and Ann want to trade cold Kentucky winters for sun and surf in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Views are number one on Ann's wish list, but Rick would prefer to get more house for their money farther inland. Will he convince her to give up oceanfront for ocean near?
Though the weather is warmer in their new locale, the Trulleys told The River City News last fall that they would miss their Old Kentucky Home in Covington.
"I will miss going to Reds games and walking to them and generally the whole urban aspect of walking everywhere, to dinner, to anywhere," Ann Trulley said. "We walk a lot. I guess we'll replace that with just walking on the beach."
"We'll miss just about everything," Rick Trulley added. "The number one thing is all the friendships we gained here and seeing everybody and the ability to go out anf walk everywhere in Covington and over to the Reds games, the ease of living."
The episode, titled Leaving Cold Kentucky Winters for Sun and Surf in Myrtle Beach, airs on HGTV Wednesday night at 10.
