Bellevue's Mary Scott is Kentucky's City Clerk of the Year
Bellevue City Clerk Mary Scott was named the Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association "Clerk of the Year" during the organization's spring meeting at Lake Cumberland.
Scott has been Bellevue's city clerk and treasurer since 1991 but has been employed by the city since 1979 having previously served as assistant recreation director, deputy clerk, and assistant clerk.
According to the city's website, as clerk, Scott is the chief historian for Bellevue, keeping all city records, including minutes from city council meetings.
Additional roles include the communication of information to residents, helping businesses organize, and, as treasurer, collecting all city taxes and fees.
