Several of the City of Dayton's administrative boards currently have vacancies and the city council is hoping to fill those positions quickly, as a number of major developments get underway in along the riverfront and beyond.
Dayton is seeking to fill the following board member positions:
Board of Adjustments: 2 vacancies
Housing Authority: 1 vacancy
Ethics Board: 2 vacancies
Parking Citation Board: 1 vacancy
Serving on a city board is done so strictly on a volunteer basis, and boards typically convene periodically or as needed, depending on issues facing the city or residents.
At last Tuesday’s city council meeting, Mayor Ken Rankle expressed an interest in filling these vacancies as soon as possible.
"If you've got the time to spare and you'd like to get involved, I hope you'll come talk to us," Mayor Ken Rankle said.
