Be an Ambassador for Covington's Bicentennial Celebration
COV200, the group charged with managing the City of Covington’s bicentennial celebration, is looking for a team of enthusiastic, energetic representatives to serve as COV200 Ambassadors at Covington events slated to take place throughout 2014-2015. COV200 Ambassadors will be responsible for helping spread the word about the bicentennial and its various projects, events, and celebrations.
Ambassador volunteers will be responsible for representing the bicentennial at local events and will be equipped with a traveling booth containing games, educational resources, trivia, Covington historical information, COV200 swag and more.
“We are looking for those individuals who are passionate about this city and want to represent the awesomeness that is Covington,” said COV200 Vice Chair, Amanda Greenwell. “If you “love the Cov,” this is a great way to give back to the city, and be a part of this celebration.”
Ideal Ambassadors will be enthusiastic and energetic representatives and should be able to attend at least 3 Covington events between 2014-2015. Interested candidates can complete an application on the Ambassador page of the Cov200 website, email Kate Esarey to send them an electronic copy at [email protected], or pick up a printed application at the Center for Great Neighborhoods, located 1650 Russell Street.
All potential COV200 Ambassadors will be required to attend a training session. The next training session will take place on Tuesday, July 15 from 6-7:15pm at the Center for Great Neighborhoods located at 1650 Russell Street, Covington KY 41011.
