Circus Mojo Hosts Farewell Performances Before Heading to Germany
Circus Mojo is headed to Germany -- but first, a show!
The Ludlow-based social circus troupe is taking local teens across the ocean to Europe, part of a nine-year partnership between Circus Mojo and Germany's Circus Pimparello, an effort to inspire young people to push their limits and achieve more.
A send-off celebration is set for Friday, an "auf Wiedersehen Performance", at 2 p.m. at the Ludlow Theater. Suggested donations are $5 for children and $10 for adults.
“I have taken young people to Germany for nearly a decade and the kids who have made this trip have earned nearly $1 Million in college scholarships, $850,000," said Circus Mojo founder Paul Miller. "Once young people realize they have potential to see and change the world they do”.
Miller invites everyone to the show on August 1 to send off Circus Mojo with some big applause and to see the power of circus as community development in Ludlow.
Circus Mojo is able to give Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, performers this opportunity to tour in Europe thanks to the Germany Government’s Cultural Exchange program, 71 backers on Kickstarter, Cirque du Soleil and Mercedes Benz of Fort Mitchell for supporting this tour with significant financial support support via the Social Circus Fund, a 501c3 Non profit foundation, Miller created, to support these efforts. In 2013 Circus Pimparello toured several Cincinnati locations, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Hillcrest Training School (Hamilton Co Juvenile Detention Center) and Florence Freedom Baseball Team.
