Hebron Man Arrested After Alleged Facebook Pursuit of Teen Boy
A Hebron man is behind bars after allegedly trying to lure a teen boy for sex.
Matthew Freudenberg, 36, of Lantana Court in Hebron faces charges of unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities (importuning), and tampering with physical evidence. Both are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
According to the release, the parents of the boy, 14, became aware of alleged Facebook messages between Freudenberg and their son and reported them to the sheriff's office. Detective Jeremy Rosing assumed the boy's Facebook identity and Freudenberg allegedly continued with sexually explicit conversations, including making a request for a nude photo of the boy, the sheriff's office said.
Freudenberg was arrested Wednesday evening and is being held at the Boone County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
