Accused Ft. Mitchell Gas Station Robber Arrested
The man accused of robbing a gas station in Ft. Mitchell was arrested Friday night.
Justin Cheyne Bartlett, 34, was taken into custody by Campbell County Police and is currently lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center where he faces a charge of first degree robbery, as well as a probation violation.
Ft. Mitchell Police believe Bartlett robbed the Marathon gas station on Dixie Highway on Monday. He was last spotted Thursday on Pike Street in Covington where investigators believe he frequents the homeless shelters. Detective Ron Wietholter obtained an arrest warrant on Friday.
Bartlett is being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Detective Wietholter for his efforts in getting this criminal off the streets," Ft. Mitchell Police Chief Jeff Eldridge said.
