Baker Hunt Doubles Number of Students Over 4 Years

Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center has seen a 100% increase in the number of students enrolled in its classes over the last four years.

The Covington-based organization made the announcement Wednesday. This year, more than 2,700 youth and adult students will attend classes.

"We are thrilled by the success that Baker Hunt has experienced since 2010," said Ray Kingsbury, executive director. "This growth is a tribute to the hard work of a dedicated faculty, staff, and board."

Baker Hunt has operated for the creation of art and building community since 1922. Fall classes begin September 29 and prospective students are encouraged to enroll prior to September 15 to avoid a late feed. Call 859.431.0020 or check out the classes and register online: click here.

A limited number of youth scholarships are also available. The Center is located at the corner of Greenup & Seventh Streets in Covington.

Meanwhile, Baker Hunt's annual Twilight in the Gardens celebration is set for September 20 from 7 - 10 p.m. The evening of art, music, and food from fine local restaurants takes place in the Center's gardens. Tickets are $35 if purchased before September 12 and $45 afterwards. The event always sells out.
