Huntington Bank Closing Ludlow, Florence Locations
Two Northern Kentucky branches of Huntington bank will be closing at the end of the year.
A company spokesperson confirmed to The River City News on Wednesday that Huntington would be shuttering its locations on Elm Street in Ludlow and Dixie Highway branch in Florence.
The Ludlow branch will be consolidated into the Covington branch at 540 Madison Avenue while the Dixie Highway branch will be rolled into the one on Houston Road.
"We continue to invest in ways for customers to work with us," said Maureen Brown, a spokesperson for Huntington Bank. "We developed something this year called Quick Balance and we're one of the few banks to have it. It's one click and you can find out what your balance is."
Letters were sent to affected customers on October 1 and the branches will close on December 30. Brown said that employees at the affected branches would likely be offered positions within the company.
The move follows Huntington's acquisition of Camco Financial in March. Camco is the parent company of Advantage Bank. Some of the branches in southern Ohio were deemed to be too close, so the merger process was initiated.
In Cincinnati, Huntington's branch in Cheviot will be consolidated at the branch in Westwood on Harrison Avenue.
