Earlier this week, The River City News had the opportunity to take a tour of the newly constructed Pike Star Lofts located above UpTech on West Pike Street.
In all, seven apartments were built ranging in size from 615 to 1,450 square feet with amazing views of downtown Covington to the south and Mother of God and the city skyline to the north.
Each unit features laminate flooring, IKEA cabinets, stainless steel appliances, contemporary chrome bath fixtures, high ceilings, sleek finishes throughout, and a single off-street parking space. Additionally, all of the apartments were designed with energy efficiency in mind.
Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are available and rates start at $650 per month.
The project, announced last year, is a partnership between the Center for Great Neighborhoods, and Tony Kreutzjans & Marc Tischbein. A neighboring vacant building will also be developed later. That second phase was awarded some of the more than $100,000 given to Covington projects by the Duke Energy Foundation recently. It is also one of the 18 Signs That Downtown Covington is Coming Back.
