Photos: Impact Day in Covington
Dozens of volunteers hit various spots in Covington on Saturday as part of COV 200's Impact Day.
COV 200 is the group promoting the city's bicentennial through 2015.
Perk Up the Park and Keep Covington Beautiful were also part of the day.
A new piece of art (created by Covington artist Bret Schulte) was part of the work done in Mainstrasse Village's Goebel Park (where volunteers got free ice cream from Piper's Cafe) and where a new focus has been on the "Make Goebel Great" beautification process.
Folks from A Touch of Beauty also helped touch up the paint at Providence Pavilion.
Trees were planted in partnership with Taking Root of Northern Kentucky Urban and Community Forestry Board and new mulch and landscaping was added around the Behringer-Crawford Museum in Devou Park.
All volunteers got a free COVmitted T-shirt.
