Locally-Sourced Walton Restaurant to Close
It prided itself on preparing locally-sourced, seasonally inspired food with organic grass-fed beef, craft burgers, a deep bourbon menu, and farmstead cheeses, according to its Facebook page.
On Tuesday, Stephenson Mill Tavern & Grill announced that it would close after this week.
It opened last year in the former Woodland Bar & Grill at 14042 Dixie Highway in Walton.
This was the post to the restaurant's Facebook page:
This week we will have a limited menu but will be running lots of specials, unfortunately we will be closing our doors after this week. We are hoping not forever but we must seek financing or an investor to continue. We are hoping to clear out lots of our product and everything is on sale. We are still having our halloween party! Please share! P.S. this is most likely only temporary, we have some work to do on a few things and want to get capital to do some fixing up and remodeling and rebranding. We are working hard on the restaurant and getting back open. Thanks to all for all their support!
