Back for the Season! Piper's Cafe Reopens in Mainstrasse Village
And now for some great news from one of our great sponsors!
Piper's Cafe is open again in Mainstrasse Village!
The cafe is offering a FREE soda with your meal, starting Monday, January 12. Buy any meal deal and get TWO free softs drinks from the Piper's clearance list (while supplies last). Those brands include Boylan's, Jones, Virgil's Real Cola, and more.
New features debuting Monday include the Bahn Mi Hot Dog (the American favorite with a Vietnamese twist: spicy mayo, sliced cucumber, shredded carrot, and fresh mint leaves. $7/8.50); Tomatillo Pulled Pork (tasty Mexican tomatoes and seasoned, tender pork on a pretzel dough bun with sliced onion and arugula. $8); Lime-Chipotle Chicken Melt (avocado, swiss chard, arugula, sun dried tomatoes, and Swiss cheese on toasted sourdough bread. $8.75); and Fava Bean & Polenta (roasted red peppers and fennel, wilted Swiss chard on toasted wheat bread. $7.50).
Piper's is located at 520 West Sixth Street in Covington's Mainstrasse Village where the carryout kitchen offers seasonal menus that emphasize locally sourced, fresh food. It opens at 8 a.m. on weekdays, closing at sunset. On weekends, pop in for pancakes starting at 10 a.m.
Since opening two seasons ago, Piper's has been recognized for its innovative payment system, has donated its tips to charity, was featured in a Kentucky cookbook, and is next to the new kiosk in Hamelin Square.
