Snow Makes an Exit, but Bitter Cold, Negative Wind Chills Linger
As far as the 7-day forecast is concerned, the worst of the snow is behind us.
At least for now.
There is a chance for snow on Friday, the National Weather Service reports, but nothing like the past week.
Don't plan any picnics yet, though. The brutal cold and accompanying negative wind chills will be sticking around. Temperatures will remain well below normal for this time of year throughout the week.
Sunday's forecast calls for a high of 28 and the overnight low will drop to minus-1, with a wind chill factor of minus-14.
On Monday, we'll see mostly sunny skies but a high of only 14 with wind chill values as low as minus-15. The low will drop to minus-2.
The sunshine lasts through Tuesday and Wednesday when we'll see highs near 27 and 28. Tuesday's low is expected to be around 16 but it drops to around 3 on Wednesday.
Thursday's high will approach 18 with a low of around minus-1. Friday's high is expected to reach 22 with a chance of snow that evening and a low around 10.
Another chance for snow is possible on Saturday with a high near 30.
