INDICTED: South Covington Murder Suspects
Three suspects in the murder of a South Covington man were indicted Thursday by a Kenton County Grand Jury.
Charles Knox, Jr., 24, Delaun Hayes, 21, and Simeon McKinnie, 21, all face 20 to 50 years or life in prison after being indicted on murder charges and 10 to 20 years on each first degree assault and first degree robbery charges that all three face.
Ronald Ray Hudson was shot to death inside the garage of his home on Hands Pike when the three suspects showed up for the purpose of purchasing a large amount of marijuana, according to police records. Instead of buying weed, the three planned to rob Hudson and things turned sour when a gun was flashed, leaving Hudson dead and David Abney seriously wounded.
No court date for the three indicted suspects was immediately available Thursday.
