Man Arrested After Crashing Car, Fleeing from Police
A man is behind bars after an early afternoon ruckus on Howell Street in Covington's Peaselburg neighborhood.
Darius Tucker, 29, was arrested on the 1900 block of Howell Street after police arrived on the scene. Initial reports indicated that there were two suspects that bolted from a vehicle that eventually came to a stop after striking a telephone pole. One suspect was immediately apprehended while another fled inside a nearby home.
Details on the second individual were not immediately available.
Tucker is charged with first degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, second degree fleeing/evading police in a motor vehicle, and disregarding a stop sign. He is being held with no bond listed and will appear in court on Monday morning.
