Gateway Design Students Take Home Gold at ADDY Awards
Students in Gateway Community and Technical College’s Visual Communication Program were recently honored at the Cincinnati ADDY Awards.
Matthew Plummer, of Peachtree, KY, won a Gold and a Silver ADDY for his Coastal FUEL logo and stationery package. Amanda Featherston, of Batavia, OH, won a Gold ADDY for her anti-abortion propaganda poster and a Gold ADDY for her "Red Lady" illustration. Plummer and Featherston are completing their final semester at Gateway Community and Technical College and are currently looking for summer internship opportunities in the advertising or graphic design field.
The ADDY awards are a national, three-tiered (local, district and national) advertising competition with professional and student categories. Winners at each level are forwarded on to the next level until the national winners are chosen.
