Duveneck Memorial Art Show Coming Mother's Day Weekend
The 46th Annual Duveneck Memorial Art Show will be held during Mother’s Day weekend on Saturday, May 9 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m at George Rogers Clark Park on Riverside Drive in Covington, Kentucky, overlooking the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline. This year's show will consist of over 60 artists’ tents
The show will feature original works by regional artists from Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky in four categories – painting, sculpture, graphics and fine crafts - and is sponsored by the Northern Kentucky Heritage League, Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center and Historic Licking Riverside District Civic Association.
The show is free and open to the public. Visitors are inviited to come, browse, purchase a lovely piece of art, and cast a vote for their favorite local artist.
Over $3,000 will be awarded to artists in the various categories, including the People’s Choice Award. Another awards that will be presented is the prestigious Duveneck Award which goes to a two-dimensional work depicting a historic landmark or scene in the Greater Cincinnati area. Previous Duveneck winners are on display at the three branches of the Kenton County Public Library.
The rain date for the event is Sunday, May 10.
