Lexington Brewery to Make Donation to Local Non-Profit
The Peaslee Early Learning Center, the newest edition to the Children, Inc. network of child care and early learning centers which opened its doors in Over-the-Rhine in November, will receive a donation from Lexington-based West Sixth Brewing this Thursday, May 7, as part of the brewery's "Pay It Forward" project.
For several months, West Sixth Brewing has been "Paying It Forward," through the sales of its Cocoa Porter. With every case of Cocoa Porter sold, West Sixth Brewing and Stagnaro Distributing donate $4 back to the community through various non-profits.
The event will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at Neon's Unplugged on E. 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine. At 6:00 p.m., Molly Wellmann of Wellmann Brands and members of West Sixth Brewing will present a check to Children, Inc. for the cash raised for their early learning center.
The West Sixth line-up for the night includes West Sixth IPA, West Sixth Amber Ale, West Sixth Belgian Blonde, West Sixth Heller Heaven Double IPA, and West Sixth Pay It Forward Cocoa Porter.
West Sixth is also bringing along its "Beer Bike," made by their friends and building mates, Broke Spoke, and the event will feature food from Taste 513, live music on the patio, and more.
