Covington Police Investigate Downtown Shooting

A man was believed to have been shot Friday evening near the intersection of Pike Street and Holman Avenue in Covington.

Witnesses told The River City News that two vehicles scattered from the scene. One witness said he saw three people open fire. Two people were in cars shooting while one another was outside the vehicle firing.

More than half a dozen police cruisers responded and searched the area.

One of the vehicles that fled the scene was a gold and black or blue sedan, possibly a Saturn, and the other was a truck. No arrests have been made. Covington Police tell The River City News that the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries. He is a 20-year old male who was shot in the hip and was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
