Woman Faces Arson Charge After Covington Fire
A Covington home is severely damaged by fire and now a woman is behind bars charged with arson.
The house, on the 1500 block of Greenup Street, caught fire at around 3 p.m. Wednesday. It suffered heavy damage and forced the closure of the road as Covington firefighters battled the flames and heavy smoke.
Shawna Devenny, 50, was arrested and booked into the Kenton County Detention Center just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. She is charged with second degree arson and is scheduled to appear in Kenton District Court on Thursday morning.
Further details were not immediately available late Wednesday.
