NKY Accelerator Announces Next Class of Big Ideas
UpTech, the Covington-based informatics accelerator, today announced that nine startups will be a part of its fourth class. The six-month program begins on September 8th where each team will receive free office space in Covington, a team of business support partners, mentors, and community partners including local corporations and universities.
“In our fourth year we’re looking to solidify our program’s commitment to entrepreneurship in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area," said JB Woodruff, UpTech's Program Director. "We believe the quality of our companies and our program speaks to the strength of UpTech’s foundation and the support we have received over the past three years in our region. We can’t wait to see what this year’s program will bring.”
UpTech, which has become known for its commitment to startup success through an intense, individualized approach, will help its startups get market ready by providing each with access to myriad mentors, learning opportunities, and a dedicated team of professionals with backgrounds in accounting, banking, legal, and sales & marketing.
The nine UpTech IV companies were selected from a pool of companies from all across the United States as well as from Chile, Thailand, Spain and Italy. A panel of expert judges and investors selected the final nine from a semi-finalist pool of 17 in early August.
UpTech’s newest portfolio companies include the following.
