NKU's Brannen to Participate in Coaches vs. Cancer Event
Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball head coach John Brannen will participate in the fifth-annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Reception benefitting the American Cancer Society along with Xavier’s Chris Mack, Cincinnati’s Mick Cronnin, Dayton’s Archie Miller, Wright State’s Billy Donlon and Miami’s John Cooper, at the event set for 6-9 p.m. on October 15 at Paul Brown Stadium.
“I am very excited to be apart of this Year’s Coaches vs Cancer event,” said Brannen. “This is a cause that we all can relate and connect to. I look forward to taking advantage of this opportunity to raise money and awareness to one day defeat cancer.”
Attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, Pop-A-Shot with the coaches and a silent auction. WLWT’s Ken Broo will serve as emcee for a media panel session with the coaches, which is sure to feature both preseason insight and bantering.
