Haunted Library Returns to Independence This Weekend
This weekend, the Kenton County Public Library’s William E. Durr branch, located at 1992 Walton-Nicholson Road in Independence, is having its 8th annual Haunted Library event. The event takes place on Saturday, October 24 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 25 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Working on the theme of Greek Mythology, this year the library will be transformed into a maze of the Underworld where famous gods and monsters like Medusa, Hades, the Minotaur and the Cyclops are known to inhabit. Thrills, chills and laughs await all who dare to enter this family friendly Halloween experience! Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item as a donation to a local food pantry.
The event is recommended for individuals ages 8 and older (depending on the child). Last year, more than 800 people attended.
