Say Cheese: Covington Brewery to Team Up With Tom+Chee
Cincinnati’s grilled cheese restaurant, Tom+Chee, recently announced plans to debut a special menu featuring items made using Braxton Brewing Company beers. The menu will be available beginning Friday, November 6, for delivery to the Braxton Brewing Company taproom.
“We are big fans of Braxton beers, so combining them with the fun, fresh ingredients Tom+Chee is known for is just the perfect pairing,” said Tom+Chee co-founders Corey Ward and Trew Quackenbush. “We’re proud to be working with another terrific start-up organization in Greater Cincinnati, and we think that our fans and fans of Braxton are going to love what we’ve come up with.”
Menu items will include new sandwiches and shareables, like the Braxton Bomber—a sandwich made with chicken on rye bread, pepper jack cheese, a chipotle barbecue sauce made with Braxton's Crank Shaft IPA, and onions braised in Braxton's Dead Blow tropical stout—and a Tomato Chutney made with Braxton Hoppy Wheat Ale, which is perfect for dipping grilled cheese. Not all Tom+Chee menu items will be available for delivery to the brewery, but several of the classic Tom+Chee sandwiches like the Armogoetta and Hippy+Chee will be included on the menu.
The special menu, available only at Braxton Brewing’s taproom, will debut on November 6 during the brewery’s First Friday party, beginning at 5 pm. Patrons of the taproom will be able to order from an iPad kiosk, and the food will be delivered from the Newport, KY Tom+Chee store.
“When it comes to food, we've always partnered with companies who are truly passionate about what they do,” said Jake Rouse, Co-founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing Company. “We’re lucky to be surrounded by some amazing restaurants here in Covington, and adding Tom+Chee to the list of food our customers can enjoy at the taproom is very exciting.”
Specializing in tomato soup and grilled cheese, Tom+Chee is known for its fresh ingredients and quirky takes on comfort food classics.
