New State-of-the-Art Senior Community Coming to Alexandria
Baptist Life Communities (BLC), Northern Kentucky’s largest nonprofit provider of senior healthcare, housing and services, announced the unveiling of the model for The Seasons @ Alexandria, a state-of-the-art community, to be located in Alexandria last week. The Seasons @ Alexandria will serve seniors of Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. Services will include a full range of therapies, memory support, skilled nursing and long-term care situated on a beautiful campus.
C. C. Hodgson, a nationally renown architectural firm specializing in the senior healthcare and housing sector has designed the campus using rustic Italian villas as inspiration. “The Seasons @ Alexandria is the next progression in quality care for seniors. At this campus, the emphasis will be on meeting seniors at the point of need and then creating an environment for ministering to the whole individual," said Dr. Robert H. Long, President and CEO of Baptist Life Communities.
Long made the announcement during an event hosted by BLC on Thursday, October 22 in Newport. The projected cost for the new retirement community is $46 million.
BLC’s leadership, working with nationally recognized firms Greystone Communities and Ziegler Capital Finance, is financing the project with a combination of bonds and other options. Getting the project underway, for the first time in its 60-year history, BLC is seeking charitable support from individuals, corporations and foundations as it launches the project. A volunteer Campaign Leadership Council of community and business leaders put together this event to climax this campaign as groundbreaking nears.
The Seasons @ Alexandria development will begin with a facility featuring a variety of services, programs and living spaces, all thoughtfully designed to provide an enhanced quality of life for seniors and their loved ones. Addressing the needs and expectations of the future, it will be developed in two phases: Phase One – Healthcare Service – will include a 117-bed Skilled Care facility, 48 apartment-style Personal Care units and 18 apartment-style Memory-Assist Personal Care units. Phase Two – Independent Living – will include 60 beautiful apartments in a variety of layouts.
BLC has purchased a 10-acre site at the intersection of the AA Highway and KY 709 in the heart of Alexandria, the fastest growing community in Campbell County. The location provides a convenient location for residents and patients, their families and care-givers, with easy access to main highways, shopping and casual dining.
Tax-deductible gifts of any and all amounts are graciously accepted and there are numerous naming opportunities to honor or memorialize individuals and businesses. For additional information about the campaign, please contact BLC at 859-283-8618.S
