Drop Your Drawers Campaign Helps Students in Campbell Co.

Yesterday, the Campbell County Public Library kicked off its Drop Your Drawers campaign which runs through December 31.
Drop Your Drawers is a campaign asking for donations of packages of new underwear for children in need from all public elementary schools in Campbell County. New packages of boys and girls underwear in sizes 4-16 are desperately needed at local elementary schools.
The donations will help replenish the schools' supplies of emergency underpants and provide direct assistance to each school's Family Resource Centers. The need is great. Children who have accidents at school miss learning time in the classroom as parents often are unable to bring fresh underwear to their children during school hours. Schools are currently handing out 30-80 pairs of underwear a month.
Donations from all three branches will be split evenly through 14 public elementary schools in Campbell County. The schools, listed in alphabetical order, are Campbell Ridge, Cline, Crossroads, Grandview, Grant's Lick, Johnson, Lincoln, Moyer, Newport Intermediate, Newport Primary, Riley, Silver Grove, Southgate and Woodfill.
Underwear may be dropped off at the Campbell County Public Library in Cold Spring (3920 Alexandria Pike); Carrico/Fort Thomas (1000 Highland Ave.); and Newport (901 E. Sixth St.).
